Electric Enemy unveils new single 'Bleed Me Dry' and announces new album

Sometimes pressure can be a catalyst for creativity. ‘Bleed Me Dry’ was written and demoed in around 30 minutes, when London based Electric Enemy were set to record two songs and due to a small miscommunication suddenly realized they needed three. Immediately.

The song is about a toxic relationship involving gaslighting, emotional abuse and neglect, set to roaring guitars and an intense arrangement. In these relationships, the abusee can be unaware that what is happening to them is abuse and they often find themselves living with someone who was putting on an act in the courting period.

"People will often tell their friends in such relationships ‘why don’t you just leave?’, but what they fail to realise is that the abuser sets up such a powerful dynamic that the abusee fears that leaving would be worse; perhaps they have threatened to take their own life, or blackmailed them, or conditioned them to have such low self esteem that they don’t feel like they could do any better.”

” You’re gonna bleed me dry with both my hands untied’ - The band commented on the message in the new single

‘Bleed Me Dry’ was produced by two time Grammy Award winner Adrian Bushby, with Jim Lawton on co-production. The song was recorded at Otterhead studios and later mixed by producer Sam Miller (Hoosiers / Razorlight / Temperance Movement / Paloma Faith).

And hand-in-hand with their new single comes the big news: The debut album ‘Electric Enemy’ is coming on April 21 2023! Their self-titled first full-length body of work is going to encompass no less than 13 songs – some familiar and some new, all combined to create an exciting debut. The announcement also kicks off the album pre-order for digital, CD and Vinyl.
